If this happens you will be refunded your deposit in full (see full Terms & Conditions), however trips still go out when there is rain, snow or fog. Temperatures can range from 0 degrees celcius in the morning to 15 degrees celcius in the afternoon. The sun does get intense in the afternoon and we highly recommend bringing sun protection.

At 8:00 am we will pass by your hotel to start a half-day walk from the city center walking uphill, passing through the main streets and we will have the option to see the city from the temple of San Cristobal and continue with the ascent until reaching Sacsayhuaman where our guide will tell you the most important events in this place throughout history, we will continue with our walk and leaving the city and entering the plains of Cusco until arriving at one of the places not very popular touristy but with great importance for the Andean religion like the temple of the moon to learn more about the sacred aspects of the Andean man and we will finalize our visit in the temple of the monkeys (cusilluchayoc) we will finally return to Cusco at about 1:00 pm in the afternoon.
Cusco is a department located in the south of the Peruvian territory, presents two well-defined seasons, rains and droughts, so the climate is a mixture of intense rains in the months of November to April and sunny days from May to October, temperatures with quite changing in the hilly part of the region, these being able to descend until -5 degrees in the zone of Ausangate during the months of June to July.
The capital of the department, Cusco is located at 3342 meters above sea level, is where the planes arrive and is the basis of all expeditions to Machu Picchu and all tourist sites. On the other hand Ausangate is the highest mountain in the department with 6372 meters above sea level and many of the camps we pass are located on the 4000 to 4850 meters above sea level, therefore a previous acclimation of about 2 or 3 days in the city is more than mandatory.
We start an expedition with a minimum of two participants and we do not exceed a number of more than 8 members. If you have a large group of friends that exceeds our limit, we make a special expedition where we send a second guide to better manage the group.
Our team is trained to complete the highest demands, all our walks merit a physical effort so the food is fundamental to continue our tours, if you have a special diet, We adapt to your needs and design a menu that meets your expectations.
There is no age limit, but we are very strict to demand a good physical condition for our walks. Ausangate for the same location is consider as a very difficult level hike so if you are looking for a pleasant moment, remember the best is that before your trip is prepared physically and mentally and this will help greatly during your vacation.
If you chose one of our walks that are more than 1 day, you will need a sleeping bag for the nights inside the tents, if you do not have one we can rent one that surrenders the comfort conditions for climate and geography of the place and we guarantee cleanliness and warranty.
Considered one of the most beautiful places to walk in Peru, AUSANGATE is considered as a walk from easy to very difficult depending on the number of days you choose in the expedition, we as operators seek to be sincere with our customers, remember that our priority is that you take a nice souvenir and not be a hardship during the days of trek therefore we recommend a lot of physical activity and a good acclimatization in Cusco before any expedition.
We take chemical baths with us for the convenience of our clients and they are installed in each camp where we arrive, we are very careful in handling this equipment with the intention of preserving our environment.
Our guides and all the personnel that accompanies in an expedition receive a payment for the days that passes in the way, the gratuities are not obligatory but they are part of a custom already generalized in South America, if you feel that the service was good and according to your needs a tip will be a good message for all our staff who will feel rewarded in that way.
